Chloe Shinhye Park

Research Technician

Chloe Shinhye Park is an undergraduate majoring in Biochemistry with a thematic minor in Neurobiology at the University of Arizona. In the summer of 2021, Chloe joined the Koshy lab as an undergraduate research assistant through the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP). She decided to claim a thematic minor in Neurobiology after her experiences in the Koshy lab studying the obligate intercellular parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, and specifically its effects and life-long persistence in the central nervous system (CNS). She is currently studying to understand the parasite's unique mechanisms to avoid the brain's complicated immune system. Chloe plans to pursue her career path as a physician-scientist by obtaining her MD/Ph.D. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and taking pictures.
